Rebecca Mugridge and Mary Van Ullen described the SUNY negotiations and eventual outcome which resulted in the cancellation of a “big deal” with Elsevier. A working group was formed in the fall of 2018 to begin negotiations with Elsevier. Multiple meetings were held at SUNY to both communicate with and receive feedback from, members of faculty, departments, and campus administration.
